On Friday 21 June 2019 at 11am our new REWIND shop will be officially opened by Noddy Holder. Noddy will be cutting the ribbon on our new vinyl records, vinatge furniture and cafe. The rest of the day there will be opportunity to join in with our celebrations of winning the Queens Award for Voluntary Service and opening our new shop. Come and join us!
Mindful Gifts Cic are pleased with our new mini shop at The Hidden Gem Antiques Emporium in Darlaston. We have free Gifts and activities for people with dementia and the area will bring back memories for everyone. A nostalgic visit for everyone!
Mindful Gifts CIC has a new volunteer, published award-winning Poet, Ellis Robinson Aka Ellis Unchained. Ellis, an ex-infantry soldier, served in the Mercian regiment and deployed to Afghanistan, op Herrick 19. Upon his return and transition into civilian life, he was diagnosed with PTSD and OCD. Life became too much for him, to the point he felt a change was needed and decided to take his treatment into his own hands, with the guidance of Birmingham veterans mental health service. Ellis understands that he is not out of the woods of yet but recognizes how far he has come. Ellis publishes all his poems, articles and short stories on his website.
