This is an email just received from the ‘CIC Association’ and I thought it would be good to share for the benefit of all other CICs out there, like us ,trying to make a difference! “It is very tempting to send a message that suggests everything in the world is fantastic and that the Christmas period is wonderful for everyone. It isn’t. We are CICs and many are tirelessly working away on some of the most difficult societal challenges we face in the UK today, and often these challenges are more acute over the Christmas period. We salute you. Many CICs have struggled to sustain their activity or to secure enough funding to continue into 2018 and are having to grapple with how to survive. We salute you. Many CICs have ceased trading in 2017 and many of those entrepreneurs are back at the drawing board, at square one and asking what is the next step. We salute you. There are others fighting like you are. Keep going, keep trying, keep making a difference. To all those who have helped along the way, given their time or indeed put their hand into their own pocket to help us keep afloat. You know who you are. We salute you. We thank you” Here is to a succesful 2018 and the difference CICs make to society! Vicki , Mindful Gifts CIC
