It was great to see that our Washday Blues book has been included in the Reminiscence Boxes that the Black Country Living Museum launched today. The book contains my Moms poems and the photos were taken at the museum a while ago. The boxes will be loaned out to care homes and organisations that work with people with dementia.
On Mindful Gifts CIC’s new year’s honours list is Darlaston Rotary Club. The Club donated money so that we could distribute activities for people with dementia in the Darlaston and Walsall area. The activities made a big difference to keeping minds busy and active for people with dementia.
Some people will tell you there is a great deal of poetry and fine sentiment in a chest of tea.
Mindful Gifts CIC is looking forward to having a stand at this event on Sunday!
